About Me

I grew up predominantly between Italy & Switzerland, to Serbian and Australian parents. Throughout life, I have lived in cultural hubs like Barcelona, Bali, Belgrade, Stockholm, Melbourne, and Amsterdam.

“Become who you are” was the motto at Ecole d’Humanité, an alternative international boarding school in Switzerland, founded by Paul Geheeb. In the Canton of Bern, this unique school taught me the power of doing, being creative, and putting people at the centre (ecole.ch/pedagogical-background).

Following my passion for visual media, I enrolled at RMIT, where I began an undergraduate degree in Media and Communication. COVID-19 upended that plan. I moved to Amsterdam, where I obtained a cum laude B.A. in Media and Culture at the University of Amsterdam—ranked #1 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for several years in a row.

Background

I have worked across a variety of disciplines—TEFL teacher, bartender, pharmacy assistant, project manager, personal assistant, event organizer, and guest relations for major international events. What connects all of it: I’m the person you call when something needs to happen.

Most recently, I have worked as the Head of thick collective, event manager for Amsterdam Nightlife, and guest relations and representative for the International Radio Festival.”

Work Experience

Travelling, cooking, literature, art, illustration, video essays, and philosophy fill the spaces between projects. I’m pulled to interculturalism, community, and the kind of beauty that only reveals itself when you slow down and look twice.

Passions

My style is a blend of contributions from my heritage and cultures I have had the privilege of immersing myself in. At times, my cinematographic approach explores claustrophobic perspectives, playing with spatial and temporal dynamics. My favourite aspect of filmmaking is uncovering and sharing beautiful stories that might otherwise go unnoticed.

I'm drawn to filmmaking because my mind is inherently visual; I see when I think. This medium fulfils my longing to be understood; by sharing the organized chaos in my mind, I hope to connect with others and finally feel understood.

FILMMAKING

The main aim in my work is finding beauty in the mundane, the beauty of the every moment. There is something magical about rediscovering something you thought you knew in a two-dimensional way.

Through my films and photography, I aspire to not only convey my inner world but also to share the beauty I find in it with others, inviting them to see the world through my eyes.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I started organising when I went to the Ecole d’Humanité, initiating student council-led outings, founding a student-run café called Ecole Café (ongoing) and coordinated school entertainment. I enjoy creating something that has value to other people. Currently, I organize events in Amsterdam focused on artist collaborations and serve as the Head of Events for thick collective.
